3. User Accounts and Subscription Plans

3.1 Free Tier

• 2 shares per day
• 24-hour maximum expiry
• Basic web interface

3.2 Premium Tiers

• Pro ($6/month): Unlimited shares, custom expiry times, password protection, burn after reading
• Developer ($19/month): Everything in Pro plus full API access, priority support

3.3 Account Responsibilities

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
• You must provide accurate and current information when creating premium accounts
• You are responsible for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

• Sharing legitimate text content, code snippets, and configuration data
• Temporary sharing of sensitive information like API keys or passwords
• Collaboration and information sharing within teams
• Integration with development workflows and tools

4.2 Prohibited Uses

You may not use ZeroHost to:

• Illegal Content: Share content that violates any applicable laws or regulations
• Harmful Content: Distribute malware, viruses, or malicious code

4.3 Content Responsibility

• You are solely responsible for the content you share through ZeroHost
• ZeroHost does not monitor or review shared content due to our privacy-first design
• You retain all rights to your content, but grant us the right to store and transmit it temporarily
• Content is automatically deleted according to the expiry time you set

5. Service Availability and Limitations

5.1 Service Levels

• Availability Target: 99.9% uptime for the Service
• Rate Limits: Usage limits apply based on your subscription tier
• Content Limits: Maximum 1MB per share
• Storage Duration: Content automatically expires from 1 hour to 30 days maximum

5.2 Service Modifications

• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time
• We will provide reasonable notice for significant changes affecting premium users
• Emergency maintenance may occur without advance notice
• New features may be introduced with different terms and conditions

6. Privacy and Data Handling

• You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our service
• You may not reverse engineer or attempt to extract our source code
• Our API may be used only as documented and within your subscription limits

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Service Provided "As Is"

ZeroHost is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding:

• Continuous, uninterrupted, or error-free operation of the service
• Security or privacy of content during transmission or storage
• Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the service
• Compatibility with your systems or third-party services

9.2 Limitation of Damages

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the past 12 months
• We are not responsible for data loss due to the ephemeral nature of our service
• You acknowledge that automatic deletion is a core feature, not a defect

9.3 User Responsibility

• You are responsible for backing up important data before sharing
• You acknowledge that shared content will be permanently deleted
• You are responsible for compliance with applicable laws in your jurisdiction
• You assume all risks associated with using an ephemeral sharing service

10. Termination

10.1 Termination by You

• You may stop using the service at any time
• Premium subscriptions can be cancelled through your account settings
• Account deletion requests can be made by contacting support

10.2 Termination by ZeroHost

We may terminate or suspend your access immediately if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service or our Acceptable Use Policy
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Abuse the service or attempt to harm our infrastructure

10.3 Effect of Termination

• Your right to use the service ends immediately
• Shared content continues to expire according to original schedules
• Account data is deleted according to our Privacy Policy
• Sections of these Terms that should survive termination will remain in effect

11. Legal and Compliance

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Dispute Resolution

• We encourage resolving disputes through direct communication first
• Legal disputes will be resolved in the courts of Queensland, Australia
• You agree to individual legal action rather than class action lawsuits
